Working Moms

celiac disease

Hi all, Its been quite a while since I've posted. I'm looking to connect with anyone who has had a young child diagnosed with celiac disease - my 2 year old is in the process of (probably) getting this diagnosis.  If you have experience with this let me know! I know it isn't working mom related, and I'll probably XP.
Thanks.

Re: celiac disease

  • DS was diagnosed when he was 1.5, almost 4 years ago.  I'd be glad to talk to you more about it/ answer any questions.

Good luck!  I have a student in my class with celiac disease.  He's 7 years old.  He knows exactly what he can and can not eat.  I don't know much about it but I think it's very important to teach them these things.  That way when they encounter someone who is ignorant about it (like myself), you don't have to worry about what will happen if they eat the wrong thing.

  • I have celiac disease. Got my diagnosis in 2007. So I'm pretty experienced in all things GF. Additionally up until November this year both my sons ate GF because it just made my life easier to cook all the same thing. So with sons 2 and 4 who had been on the diet their entire lives I may have some advice that is useful. Glad to help just send me a PM
