Introduction

Hi all,
I'm new to the board from TTTC.  We were supposed to have our first IUI done by now, but my PCOS ovaries just didn't want to respond the way we wanted them to.  After three weeks of playing with injectible levels, I ended up with 17 measurable follies.  We then switched to IVF and even though we upped the meds, the follies then shrunk down from a med reduction 5 days prior.  So we were cancelled.  I'm now waiting for AF so we can hopefully start again.  Or wait out on the bench until February.  But I figured I should introduce myself since it seems like IVF is the way to go for us and we'll be starting soon.  Anyone have good advice for a newbie who's trying to get educated on the process?

Welcome! I am pretty new to the process as well so I don't have much advice. I will probably start my 2nd FET protocol in February with a transfer in march most likely. Again welcome

Welcome to the group!  This is my first IVF cycle so I don't have any advice to offer yet.  I will say the ladies on this board are awesome at providing support and answering questions.

Welcome!  My bit of advice....always write down all your questions as soon as they pop in your head...and don't be shy to ask them all.  Good luck!!!

Thanks ladies!  A quick question-is there a place where ya'll have a list of acronyms and what they mean?  I had most of them down on the other board, but this is a whole new world!!!

Welcome! I'm pretty new too, going through my first IVF and am in my 2WW. I have no idea on the acronyms, sometimes I can decipher them from the rest of the post   I would say continue to live your life and try not to obsess over every number.  People, sometimes good friends and family, are going to say incredibly stupid and insensitive things(purposely or not) - try to brush it off because unless they've been through it, they have no clue.  I agree with writing down your questions as you have them. It's a lot of information to take in all at once. For me, when the nurses and doctor are rattling off next steps and other info, I've found it helpful to remind them it's my first time through this and they'll slow down and explain more. Good Luck!
