Vent

Hi ladies- 

I just need a quick vent. I am here at work and the only person who didn't bring in the gift for Secret Santa. We always do it the last day before break- but it was switched to Wednesday this year. I feel horrible. I haven't socialized with any teachers because of everything going on- IF is my life and I would rather not hang out with pregnant teachers when I have my free time. 

Also, I've been so busy coordinating prescription deliveries, donor sperm deliveries and preparation. I know IVF like the back of my hand- but I am still learning about IUI. I don't understand why I feel so overwhelmed. I thought this was supposed to be easy- all I feel is stress. I have a lot going on and sadly, therapy once a week isn't enough. Just really feeling the pressure today.

Aww sorry ur having an off day, but the good thing is you still have 2 days to bring it in. Sadly I wish we could know when it gets easier through this whole process but we can only plan and prepare for so much. Hope your day ends soon and you'll be able to relax later and unwind *hugs*

(((((hugs))))) I'm sorry you're having a rough day. I know what you mean - I feel consumed by IF and it is so hard to concentrate on anything else. I'm sure it's natural for a few things to slide when you're dealing with infertility... but I often feel guilty because I don't want anything to impact my performance at work. I'm so fortunate that my principal is understanding and has been cutting me a lot of slack.

Don't beat yourself up too hard for dropping the ball on the Secret Santa. These things happen, and you have a really good reason. I'm sure your Secret Santa will be just as happy to receive his or her gift tomorrow, and to him or her it's probably not a big deal. But I completely understand why it is a big deal for you... it's so frustrating that IF really ruins everything. 

By the way, I'm typing this from my desk where I eat lunch every day. I'd rather eat alone than among my pregnant and fertile colleagues in the teachers room... that in and of itself is so sad to me.

@RunCC37 I eat lunch with you girls everyday. It's one of the few things I look forward to. I'm glad you were able to open up to your principal. I am so pissed off that something so intimate has to be shared with so many people already that I won't tell other people. I know I'm probably spiting myself and I would get more support, but my motto is- if I wouldn't tell you about my sex life, I'm not talking about infertility.

I'm sorry you're having a tough day. I totally get how IF is just so consuming, it's hard to remember anything else these days except what cycle day it is and which medicines to take!

@poohniki I am sorry you are having a rough time today. I know the feeling. I am in the middle of what I think is my last IUI cycle before moving on. I am in the same situation with the secret Santa. It is today and I don't even want to participate, partly because I too forgot all about it. Hope your day gets better, or has gotten better- depending on your time zone

I'm so sorry you are having a rough day.  Honestly, Secret Santa is the last thing you should have to be stressing over right now.  Let that one slide.  I know why you are upset about it and I probably would be too but in the grand scheme of things, you can bring it in tomorrow and it'll be forgotten about before you know it.

I'm not any help with the IUI but I would think it's more stressful because it's new to you.  I really hope that everything falls into place and this will be it for you!
