1st Trimester

Sore breast

Ok so I'm 7 weeks today and I'm loving the fact my breasts are bigger lol but.... They hurt so much when I get up in the morning the pain is unbearable, this is my 3rd baby and I can't remember it being this bad any tips of relief or idea when it may calm down????

Re: Sore breast

  • I ended up purchasing 2 new (read: roomier) sports bras to sleep in at night. It is so much more comfortable now, even though I would prefer not to wear a bra 24/7. I've noticed that I'm much less tender/sore/sensitive now at 11 weeks. This is my first pregnancy, but many women on here frequently discuss that their 1st tri symptoms, including the breast issues, wane around the start of the 2nd tri.

  • Hopefully the pain will get less, mine are starting to calm down now (that makes it sound like I have hysterical boobs, but you know what I mean).

I couldn't get myself to sleep in a sports bra, it felt too restrictive. But I got one of those spaghetti strap tops with a built in bandeau bra for sleeping in. It helped me a lot. It was only necessary for a few weeks.
  • Get properly fitted for a new bra! With my first, that made all the difference. Oh, and I'm not a fan of the Destination Maternity stores for that. If they don't carry your new size, they make up a number and letter to sell you their closest match. They tried to tell me I was band sizes bigger and 3 cup sizes smaller when I was expecting DD. If you're from the Chicago Area, Tina's Closet in Lisle is my salvation. They carry every size under the sun, including very difficult-to-find ones. With DD before new bras I came home from work reclined on the couch took my bra off and almost weeped. After new bras, no problems. I haven't had any issues so far with this pregnancy. Oh, also, non-underwire bras are supposed to be better now (those are what I wear anyways do I can't vouch for that one personally.)
  • Maybe this will get you your sono!
