DHA problems

I started out my pregnancy taking my prenatal vitamins along with a fish oil vitamin..it was okay for about 2 weeks but then it started to make me vomit. My doctor told me to stop taking it if it was making me sick. I know DHA is good for baby's development, do you ladies know of any alternatives beside the dreaded fish oil vitamins!

Re: DHA problems

  • There are vegetarian (algal) version of DHA that you can buy.  Maybe that won't make you as sick?  You could also buy foods fortified with DHA (Horizon milk, Cabot cheese).

Be careful with that milk - I tried it once and it tasted like fishmilk. Ewwww.

I use the gummies too.  Before that, I had the Expecta ones.

Those are what I use. I've used Expecta Lipil in the past and had trouble finding it this time. The Target brand is their version of it, and cheaper.

I use these and LOVE them! I've never felt sick using them unless I didn't eat enough.
