Hi Everyone,
We're turning our current guest room into the new baby's nursery. It currently has a queen size bed with headboard, nightstand, large double dresser with two mirrors that attach to the back of it, and a large armoire. This stuff belonged to my parents in the 80's. It is large and heavy, seriously heavy. Does anyone have some good suggestions to get rid of it. Craig's List, Goodwill? We really just want someone to take it from us. It will take a few strong men to get it out of our house.
I've donated clothes to Goodwill and sold a couple items on Craig's List before, but never anything this large.
Thanks!
Re: Removing Old Furniture for New Nursery
We are also making our guest room into the nursery. We only have the queen size bed left in there now but it is our dog's favorite place to sleep so we are feeling sad about moving it. Yes, we are a bit crazy.
my dog loves to sleep on the bed in our guest room too! I come home and find him all burrowed into the blankets with the pillows all stacked up into a little mountain. he's a little crazy
Lots of people leave a bed in the nursery so you can lay in there and not have to go back and forth while baby is really tiny. I don't actually have any experience there since this is my first but I've certainly seen nurseries with real beds in them along with a crib.
