New Year's Eve plans?

What are you doing for new years? Anything good?

 

DH and I are staying in and being mellow. We got the typical snacks and sparkling cider and will probably just stay in and be bumps on a log. Last year we danced in the light of the Christmas tree and we'll probably do that again. It makes me feel old but there's really not much else to do in our town.

Our tradition in past years has been for friends of ours to come over for dinner and drinks, but being so close to my DD this year we decided to just hang out alone at home. It's nice - I'm tired these days and am much happier chilling in my robe!

We're gonna try REALLY hard to stay up til midnight.   We're just staying in with a bottle of champagne and some snacks.  Which is a perfect night if you ask me.

We're staying in, what with the new baby and all.  We did get a small bottle of champagne, so I'll have a glass here shortly.

We're just hanging out at home. This is our first New Year's alone together- we're always at some get-together, so it's actually very nice.

Well we were drinking. I stopped after 2 glasses of wine because it was making me sad/weepy/annoying(not that DH would ever use any of those words) so now he's drinking and I'm trying to stay up to watch the ball drop. Pathetic.

Nothing. Me and MH are cleaning and organizing like madpeople since my MIL is coming into town ( from out of the country) tomorrow afternoon. We are going to crack open some of our favorite sparkling cider and have some shawarmas

Nothing i'm soooo bored and sooo bummed. This will be my first comepletely sober not even a glass of champagne in I don't know how long. And it's not because i'm PG. which makes it even worse all day i'll I could think about is how I should be about 17weeks along and about to find out the sex. It's making me super sad. Hubby is at work, busting all the bad guys and drunk drivers so i'm worried about him. We just moved to a new state in June, so i'm away from my friends and family for the first time. I'm secretley a lil pissed. But trying to hide it I know DH feels bad. What's even worse is the even if I do stay up to watch the ball drop I can't call my friends in Cali because it will only be 11pm there. That blows. Well off to play Monopoloy with my DS Whoopeeee! NOT! LOL oh well. It is what it is.

We put DD to bed around 9:15 and now we're hanging out on the sofa watching the festivities on TV and playing on our laptops. At about 11:45, I'll go get my glass of champagne & his sparkling water. I have a feeling I'll be asleep by 12:02. LOL!
