Sh!t kids say...

We havent had one of these in a while, and I always find them hilarious. Here is mine:

Ever since I started to really show DS has been in love with my growing belly. He asks others to show them theirs all the time. The other night he was looking at my belly, points to it and goes "Mamma, too big!" I still have another 10 weeks to go, so it is only going to get bigger from here! Youre lucky Im pregnant kiddo and not just enjoying too many holiday goodies! ;)

Re: Sh!t kids say...

  • LibraryChica just reminded me of another one. Lately when DS wakes up he has taken to saying over and over "Mommy/Daddy where are you? Open the door!"

  • DD was very interested in my belly when I was pregnant with DS, too.  She asked me one day (not very long ago, embarrassingly enough), "Mommy, why is your belly still so big?  There's not a baby in there any more."  Yeah...you have a valid point, DD...  :)

  • DS is 21months and just started talking in sentences "I did it" "I've got it" etc. one that he says a lot is "I sit" which cracks me up b/c it sounds like he's cursing at me.

  • DD plopped down on a stool in the kitchen the other day and started singing- I love my vagina, vagina vagina, Boys love their penis, penis penis...
  • The other day when we were leaving for work/daycare DD asked where daddy's car was. I responded "DD remember Daddy went to work." (He leaves a few mins before us). She replied "Daddy goes to work. DD goes go school. Mommy goes shopping." Way to call me out kid, thanks.

Away on business. Called to say goodnight to my son and he asked if I was making friends. I laughed and said yes. He said, "good, I was worried about that."

  • In a busy Target this weekend, DS sees a toy he wants and I tell him he has to wait for Christmas. He says he has his own money in his piggy bank, and that he wants to buy it  himself. I tell him no, his piggy bank money is for college. He starts crying and wailing "I don't want to go to college! I don't want to go to college!!" All the parents were cracking up.

DS named his Elf on the Shelf "Fluffy Cute Kitty." Then later he corrected himself and named him "Fluffy Cute Elf." He still makes me say the whole name, I can't just call him Fluffy.

  • More of a mispronunciation, kiddo is going through the typical toddler stage where the word truck doesn't sound like the word truck when he says it. Even worse, when he says dump truck, the "p" sound gets left of the word dump. Anyway, on the way to daycare / work we passed a line of trucks and kiddo is excitedly shouting his little head off about the trucks, while I have my car window open and I'm handing my badge over to the security guard... "I swear he's just excited about the trucks sir..."
  • DS1 (age 4) on the way to school said  "Mom when someone tells you that you should switch to decaf, what does that mean?"
  • A friend and I put our kids in the gym daycare while we worked out together and when we came back the daycare lady told us her two-year old DD marched right in and told her "My daddy works all day so he can make lots of money so mommy and I can play all day"
