3rd Trimester

Transverse Baby

My dr. hasn't confirmed this but I'm pretty sure my LO is transfers. I really only feel kicks on my side and I feel like something is wedge into my left hipbone. In fact, it's really painful and my left hipbone has felt sore for weeks!

Is anyone else's baby transverse and do you find it to be really painful too? It's so hard to sleep because as soon as I go on my side he starts kicking or pushing (I must be squishing him when i'm on my side) but I obviously can't sleep on my back or stomach. I may need to start trying to sleep sitting up!

Any recommendations on how to get him to move or make this less painful?  I feel like he's been in this position for weeks and i'm just so sore from it.

Thanks!

I'm just trying to make sense of things :-)

Re: Transverse Baby

  • Spinningbabies.com is a good resource for helping baby go head down.

  • We talked about this is birth class on sunday and I forgot the stat they gave but transverse babies are more likely to migrate head down than I frank breach I believe. I second the spinningbabies.com suggestion though
