Ok so since being pregnant and getting past the first trimester I've been not eating as well as I'd like or did before! I've been eating McDonalds, salty foods, chocolate in abundance and I'm getting big! I'm only 21 weeks but feel huge
My problem isn't food. I cannot quit drinking pop. I make myself drink at least 10 glasses of water everyday, but dr pepper is the only thing that tastes good to me. I mean, i still drink juice, water, and milk but it's so hard to cut back on pop.
I eat like total crap! During the week I'm ok because I'm at work and only have breakfast, lunch and a snack or two. Nights and weekends are my downfall. Last night I fell asleep on the sofa woke up at 12am has 2 donuts bsd went to bed?!! Really!!
I'm not eating well at all. I did really well my first pregnancy. Not so much this one. I finished all the chips and Doritos yesterday, though, so at least those are out of the house
Mama to a little girl born July 2011 and a little boy born April 2014!
I was pretty much completely vegan before this pregnancy. I never would've dreamed of eating fast food voluntarily unless there really was no other option. Now the thought of a cooked carrot or piece of broccoli makes me wanna hurl. So...I had a Dairy Queen cheeseburger and fries for dinner. That about sums that up. I just keep thinking that once these preggo hormones are out of my body, I'll transform back into a person that I recognize (i hope) :-)
I've been on a bad food kick lately too and holiday indulgence doesn't help! This morning I made myself get up and work out and eat a healthy breakfast. I plan on getting the kids out to the grocery later to do some shopping and meal planning. My problem is grabbing food out of convenience so I need to make sure I have healthy options handy.
I have given up. Healthy food smells/tastes/sounds horrible to me and I finally just accepted that. I'll have more weight to lose for sure than if i had stayed on my low sugar, low carb diet (grains, I got plenty of carbs from fruit). Oh well.

This! Me too!! Ugh! Hate it. I was so thinking about a post like this last night while I was eating taco cabana..
I try to force some healthy food down to "even things out", lol (even though it doesn't really work that way, my pregnant brain highly disagrees) My first trimester, the only pop I had was sprite and that was like a sip whenever I would first get nauseous. But one day into my second tri I was craving a Pepsi so bad. Haven't been able to stop since.

This is me!! Haha. I would only make food at home and it was all vegan. Now i am eating horrible and i am eating meat again. Oh well. I will get back to my eating habits after.
First tri I was awful - all I wanted were cheexeburgers and fries. Last several weeks I have been better, but I have no willpower if any junk food is around. I bought a package of Candy Cane Oreos as a treat for DS thinking I wouldn't really eat them since I don't normally care for mint and I have probably eaten half of them.
My SO was so hell bent on keeping me healthy...for about a week. Then he realized it would be easier to teach the kid to be healthy once she's out. I try to limit my fast food, but chips are so good. And definitely TOASTER STRUDLES! And I have never been a big pop drinker, but I crave Sprite so much. I don't even drink it weekly right now, but because I almost never drank it before, I feel so guilty having a bottle even once in a while.
My goal, and I hope I can explain this well enough that I don't get flamed, is to focus my eating for third trimester. NOT DIET. I am definitely not dieting during pregnancy. But I am planning on eating lots of greens and fruits and chicken, and cutting WAY back on carbs and red meat. I heard that cutting carbs third trimester really helps with keeping pregnancy weight off, not that I am obsessed with my weight, but I just don't want to be uncomfortable. I also want to be prepared when I am breastfeeding to give my baby super nutritious milk. haha
Why do my boobs look so good? Then I peed on a stick...
Cheeseburgers are my best friend at the moment, and convenience is priority number one! Best thing I got was a nutri bullet! Greens and fruit in a quick shake every morning makes me feel less guilty about all the junk...and chocolate!
I think I might have died of starvation in 1st Trimester except for those $1 spicy chicken sandwiches (with a side of fries) from Carls Jr.
I bought Doritos due to reading about them extensively on these boards. I don't think I have eaten Doritos since jr high. I ate a bunch immediately upon getting home from the gym last night Yeah, great post-workout food.
My girlfriends and I met up for brunch at a vegan place a while back and I went in with a positive attitude about it. But halfway through I realized I was dying for some sausage biscuits and gravy from the Irish pub where I usually go, as I was trying to choke down a raw cracker.
There is a donut shop directly across the street from my office. I can see it from my desk. I don't always want a donut (donut burps are the worst) but it is weirdly comforting to know that the donuts are there, mere feet away, waiting...
All vegetable unless they're swimming in cheese sauce or they're a ceasar salad with loads of parmesan make me want to gag. The only thing I want to eat is pasta and pizza. I've tried putting healthy stuff in the pasta like broccoli, but I just have to then force it down so I can get to the yummy stuff. I was not this bad with K's pregnancy. I did eat a lot of junk, but I still ate veggies too.
I drink a couple glasses of some fruit juice with veggies hiding in it and figure it's better than nothing.

I brought healthier options for lunch today... and I'm eating fries and a BBQ Ranch burger from McDonalds. If you haven't had one, they sound gross, but to me are amazing. It's one of their crappy burgers, but covered in a slice of white cheddar, a tangy bbq sauce, and tortilla chips, which are close to Fritos. And it's on the $1 menu. I wish these existed on late drinking nights back in college...
I can't cook meat...unless I'm throwing it in the crockpot lol. It makes me sick. I will eat it for sure, but Top Ramen, frozen burritos, fruit and yogurt (granola) have been fabulous. Fried food doesn't even appeal to me. DH took me to my favorite chicken wing place the other night, and I got a quesadilla...no wings, no potato wedges with cheese or fried pickles or mushrooms...he was dumbfounded!!!

I'm a huge fan of the bacon mcdouble and I dip it in sweet and sour. Random, but best combo ever.
Yesterday I almost cried because I went out of my way to go to Panera and got a huge double fudge brownie....and it was FREE from my birthday rewards! I took it as a sign that it was meant to be.

All I wanted was big greasy cheeseburger! Or Mexican. Or Chinese. Man now I'm hungry again.
