Stupid thin lining. How fast does it grow, and what's ideal for FET?

Hi girls, 

I had my lining check yesterday, a week before our tentatively scheduled FET on 12/16. I have a triple stripe (yay!), but it's 7.4 (thinner than the 8+ they'd like to see at this point). They upped my Estradiol and told me to come back tomorrow morning. Oh, and they said not to start progesterone as planned tomorrow. I really trust our RE and am hoping it'll grow and be better looking tomorrow. Especially since I'm doing acupuncture focused on building the lining. 

But do you know how fast lining typically grows? And what thickness does your REs say is ideal for FET? I haven't paid lining much mind through our previous ART cycles and am finding conflicting info via other boards and Dr. Google. Thanks!

My RE said it has to be 9mm or greater. Mine was 12.5 the week I started the progesterone

I think you are definitely still in the running.   I was taking 6 2mg estrace pills a day for 10 days and had a 10mm lining.   You have another 6 days to keep building it.  I wouldn't be too worried about it yet.

I think you have plenty of time to build that lining still.  I'll be a week away from my FET tomorrow and my lining was barely a 5 on Monday (I go back in tomorrow).  But this is actually good for me.  I've been on 12+ mg of estrodial daily (oral, vaginal and topical) and I'm maxed out.  My estrodiol levels are actual >4,000 last Friday, so they worried about my liver and I stopped the oral pills.  I'm still hoping not to be cancelled, but I was already cancelled in August due to my lining and it looks to be that way this month.  Saying that, since my lining has never been over a 7.5, they will let me transer if it's over a 6.  People do get pregnant with thinner linings, but of course you have a better chance with it being thicker.  Good luck!

I believe a 6mm is the minimum for transfer, but they like to see it at a 7mm before going to progesterone. I know once you start the PIO the lining thins out a little, so I understand why they are waiting for you to start. Good luck!

5 days before I started progesterone my lining was a 6. They upped my estrace to 3x a day, wanting 7 to start the progesterone. It was 8 by that Fri and thay were happy with that.

KatelynSMeyer Interesting, that's good to hear. And @poohniki, that makes sense about waiting to start progesterone until my lining is a certain thickness. Just got back from a second monitoring, and my lining is now 8.5 (and 8.9 at the thickest point). So, a little over 1mm growth in two days. Now to wait for them to call and let me know what they actually wanted to see!
