So I know you started CDing recently and I wanted to know how did you decide which ones to go with!? I'm so confused! It seems like I'm leaning towards Kawaii and bumGenius, but here's what I'm confused about... Since pocket diapers require inserts to go in an actual pocket, doesnt that mean you have to replace the whole diaper every single time? Also, how many did you buy when you were starting off with?

Help! Lol!

Okay that's what I thought. You can use prefolds as inserts with any of those right?

You could lay a prefold on the outer part of the pocket, it would probably be a pain in the ass getting it in the pocket and having it stay folded right. Technically you could though.

But then for that I could just use prefolds and covers right? Not even worry about the stuffing and unstuffing part. The pockets I can see wanting to use when I'm out and about so there's not much fuss or for extra layering at night. I'm beginning to see why people use the prefolds and covers at home though.

Right, no stuffing with prefolds and covers. Pockets or AIO are also nice to have when other people take care of your baby since they essentially work like any diaper when it's pre-stuffed.

We use Bum Genius for night time (keeps her drier) and daycare (easier for the teachers), and we use rumparoo covers with inserts the rest of the time (cheaper, less laundry).
