I met the sweetest young lady today and her name was Lexington and i cannot stop thinking about how cute she was and how get name suited her. I think this would stay a gp name for me but what do you ladies think?
I immediately thought of Lexington Ave. Of course, that was the origin of Madison for girls (i.e. that scene in the movie Splash).
I think it's kind of terrible, sorry. It's like the trend of place names, last names on girls, and cutesy, elongated nicknames ("I want to use the nn Lexi, but not Alexandra or its derivatives") all rolled into one.

This! I immediately thought of Lex Ave and the Splash-origin of Madison.
Kind of makes me want to name a pet Fifth just to be cheeky. (I say pet because I'd never do that to a kid!)
I think of the town in Massachusetts. It just sounds too much like a place. I hate it for a boy. I despise it even more for a girl. I hate the nn Lexi too. Anyone I know w that nn likes to call themselves sexy Lexi so I always think of it as trashy.
Seriously? Sexy Lexi? I've never heard of anyone call themselves that. Granted, i only know two Lexis but still. I just thought it was cute and fit the little girl well. Id never name my child this nor would DH let me get away with it lol
There was a baby girl on House Hunters named Lexington. MH, who is generally never ruffled by euneek names, almost spit his drink out laughing. That's pretty much how I feel about it. It's not good.
