cool day trip places for families?
I got DH a GPS and would liek to surprise him and set it to take us somewhere fun for a day (or even a night) without him knowing the destination. any suggestions?

I have this book, The Best Places to Kiss in the Northwest, and it has tons of ideas that could be adapted to a family trip. Unfortunately, I am in PA and not near the book to look up some of the places. Off the top of my head there is a telescope/viewing centerin Goldendale (?) that gives free guided tours of the stars while you picnic.
Mt. Rainer has some treehouse hotels that might be cool to check out.
The Great Wolf lodge is pretty cool.
