DH are 95% on the two names that we have picked for the girls. My question is how do you decide which is which? Did / Will you decide before they're born that Baby A is this name and Baby B is that name? Or wait to see them first? Even though we have agreed on names we still just refer to them as the babies or the girls and baby A and B when talking about a specific one. This question probably mainly applies to G/G or B/B twins.
I'm also curious if you typically say their names in the same order (like when introducing them or talking about them in the 3rd person.)? Is it always Jill and Jack, for example? Or are you equally likely to say Jack and Jill?

Re: Naming multiples before they're born

I had an emergency c/s under general anesthesia and H missed their birth entirely sitting in traffic, so when I woke up in recovery and was all hopped up on morphine, we settled on the second name and I told H to go down to the NICU and decide who was who. He definitely chose correctly. Their names fit them well.
I always refer to them in birth order.

I always knew the first son would have to be John- that is DH's name, is father's, his grandfather's etc- like 10 generations. So there is no guarantee that baby A will be the first born- so while on the operation table I told the Dr and nurses the first baby out was John the second was Nicholas. Which is funny since John looks like my family and Nicholas looks like my DH's family.
And yes when referring to both of them I typically always say "John and Nicholas"
One of them is named after my SIL, which is a name passed down through the family
and the other's first is named sort of after one of my BFFs and her middle is another BFF that introduced DH and I.
The first name we picked out went with A and the second name was a little more work to pick out, and that was B's.. I did kind of second guess that but I wanted to be able to bond with them more before they were born.
It's amazing that their names really do match their personalities. A has a LOT of my SIL's personality and B is very spunky and a comedianne, like both of her namesakes.
We named our in advance. We picked out their names first, then after a while I chose which baby got which name. Baby A was named Benjamin (strangely he was on the right and Benjamin means "Son on the right"), and B was named Samuel, which suits him perfectly.
TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!
Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!
This totally! We had them named from the beginning, and they completely fit their names.
