Going crazy waiting for u/s results

Has anyone else had to wait for ultrasound results?!  I'm going bonkers!

A little background: I am new to my area and didn't have a doctor yet, so when I first got my BFP a couple of weeks ago and was having some spotting and cramping, I went to the hospital to get it checked out (mostly because I've had an ectopic pregnancy before - if it was happening again I wanted to catch it as soon as possible).  Anyway, the ER doctor ordered blood work and an ultrasound which showed that the fetus is in my uterus, but the heart beat was low so he wanted me to go in for an ultrasound again the following week (which was last week).

In the meantime I called around and found a doctor.  I went back for the second u/s last Wednesday and the technician said to follow up with my doctor (who I haven't even met yet) for the results.  I called the doctor's office and they said it would take at least a week for them to get the u/s results from the hospital.

So needless to say, I am going crazy!  I'd like to think that if there was anything of immediate concern that they would have directed me back to the ER, so I am trying to stay in a positive frame of mind that everything must be fine if they were ok with making me wait a week for the results.

It just pisses me off that they'd stress out a pregnant woman like this! lol
