Eye surgery

DD was born with a blocked tear duct and her eye keeps getting infected. She's having surgery tomorrow to open up the duct. They basically just insert a metal witre inside her eye duct. The procedure only lasts 5-10 min but they have to do it under general anesthesia. Did any of you go through this? How was the surgery and recovery?
