Diaper rash remedy: diarrhea edition...hope it helps

DS has a cold virus and resulted in nasty, mucus diarrhea that produced a rash that was so raw from the acidity of the diarrhea it was horrible. My pediatrician said to take 1/2 c desitin, 1% hydrocortisone , bacitracin and 1/4 tsp of mylanta mixed together....it has helped tremendously...that and warm bath soaks w no soap or wipes used today....hope this helps anyone that needs it!

ooh thanks!! I'm going to try this. Although I only have triple paste, but I think that works better than desitin anyway. Henry has such a horrible rash from suddenly going from rarely pooping to constant poops.

When dd and ds1 were on antibiotics for ear infections when they were 6 months they had horrid diaper rash. We did the same thing and it was ahhmazing. I hope your LO feels better!
