Intro (loss mentioned) and question about changing REs (in NJ)

(Sorry in advance for formatting issues, bumping from my ipad) Hello ladies! I've been lurking around this board and wanted to make an intro and ask some questions. When I'm not busy being an infertile, I'm a middle school special ed teacher, wife and mom to my fur baby Zoe (cat). I have been at this ttc thing for way too long without much of a diagnosis! I did 6 (I think) iui's where only the first got me pregnant but was a CP. Then I did 2 IVF and got pregnant on the second but had some issues that led to a late second tri loss. I have been at a major ivf clinic here in central NJ the whole time and have become increasingly unhappy there. I don't feel like they have tried to figure out why my embryos rock at day 3 but suck by day 5 despite being chromosomally normal. I'm thinking of making the switch to RMA NJ. I have two shots at IVF left through insurance and I want to have the best shot at success. Any advice on breaking up with a RE? Any opinions on RMA or other central NJ options?

Welcome! I just started at RMA, so I don't have much input yet, but just wanted to say good luck! There are several RMA ladies on this board who can give you more feedback. (And a lot of us are teachers, too!)

Oh, and my soggy doesn't seem to be showing what it should.... Not really DOR like once told. Low amh but normal fsh and afc. DH and I are both 30.

Hello and welcome!! I'm sorry you have been through so much! As others have said I've seen several ladies mention RMA....I'm not from NJ but I have broken up with an RE. I simply asked for copies of my whole chart and copies of any procedures I had done...and went on my merry way to a clinic we were way happier at and didn't seem so money driven. Goodluck with everything and hope you are happy with your change of clinics!

I started at IVF NJ and received little to no info. I now go to Princeton IVF and everything has been moving along great they also keep me informed on all my numbers and test results. Everyone there is super nice. Good Luck hun

welcome! ive given 2 REs the boot lol and now onto #3. i never want to trust my potential future in a REs hands that im not comfortable with or like what TaylorH84 said, not so money driven, my first RE asked for $35 administrative fee for my records! im like seriously? just had to get one last squeeze of my wallet on my way out?! just ask for a copy of your records and take it from there! GL!

Welcome to the board MrsZ816.  I'm sorry for your losses.  I hope that a change in your RE and your next step will bring you your take home baby.  I am not in NJ but I have switched REs, it was a great decision and we are VERY happy.  Good luck!

I too switched RE'S in NJ. I referred to RMA. However, I am at south jersey fertility. They too have great results. Delaware Valley Institute for fertility and genetics is where cycled and now have a 3yr. Old daughter! Best wishes. Look them up!

I'm at RMANJ too. We just finished our first IVF with them and currently in the 2WW. I have found that the staff at RMA really has their stuff together and has made this journey as pain-free as it possibly could be. I've only dealt with the Somerset and Basking Ridge offices but they have been really great. PM me if you have any questions.
