For the past 2 nights LO wakes up choking and coughing. I have noticed that he is very congested. He also has a low grade fever of 99.5. We have cleared his nose and ran the humidifier but he still will not eat since he does not feel well. He also had some green poop in his last 2 diapers. Has anyone been having this problem or have any suggestions of what else I could do?

99.5 is actually a normal temp for an infant, but if he's not eating I call the pedi. My LO was sick at 3 wks and we just cleared out her nose, used the humidifier and kept her inclined. She was still eating normally though. I did take her to the dr and he just said it had to run its course.

I called the pedi today and they said to keep him elevated and run the humidifier. I think his nose is draining and causing him to cough and not want to eat. The dr said 99.5 was considered a low grade fever but to bring him to kid med if it gets to 100.4.
