To leather or not to leather....

We are buying a new SUV soon and my DH thinks we should get leather seats because of the potential mess LO might make in the back.  I am not a fan of leather seats because we live FL and I find they always leave me sweaty especially during the summer.  Any BTDT mom's with older children have any advice on if leather is worth getting just for the ease of cleanup?  What would you do?

Definitely worth it. My cloth seats are a mess. You can buy seat protectors but they aren't approved to go under car seats.

Just with having a dog I've always had leather seats for easier clean up, even when I lived in FL. Seems it'd be easier with kid messes, too.

Leather.  The first projectile vomit you clean up out of the car will make it worth it.

Leather for sure! My car has chocolate milk stains on the cloth seats. Thank goodness we have leather furniture, though!

Leather fo sho. And if you get a new enough vehicle you can get cooled seats. No swass and clean seats. It's a win win.

Jeezuz lord do leather.......kids make a mess of your car it's waaaay easier clean up

I guess I will break down and do leather.  If the seats bother me too badly I will just find something to put over my drivers seat.  My husband will be happy!  Thank you ladies.

I hate leather seats because they get so hot. I've had my car with cloth seats for a couple years now and there are no stains. It's really not that hard. I just don't give DD anything but water and dry snacks like crackers in the car. I also keep a towel to wipe off the bottoms of her shoes when its raining since she can kick the back of the seat.
