How would you spell this name if you heard it verbally?

DH is leaning toward Hailey if we use the name, FIL said he'd spell it Haylee if he heard it.

Interesting. MIL swears that Hayley is the original and behind the name supports this. She dislikes the other spellings, but would be okay with Hailey.

I would instinctively say Hailey, but the only person that I know with the name personally spells it Hayley.

Hailey! I really like it and that is the only spelling that I think doesn't look made up.

One of my friends named her DD Haley because it's her maiden name.  Anything other than Haley or Hailey looks odd to me.  Definitely not Haylee.

For me, Hayley is pronounced Hay Lee. And Hailey is pronounced Hail Lee. There's a slight difference.

I think I like Hailey better.

This. Though I may ask if there's an "i" in it. So Hailey or Haley are the only ones I think of.

I like the Haley spelling. It is my sister's name so I am a bit biased. All other spellings always looked wrong to me.

I like Haley the best, but if someone told me it was their name and I had to write it down and it didn't matter enough to ask the spelling, I think I would probably write it Hailey.

To me, and probably most of northwest and Rockies, Hailey is a town in Idaho. Haley is my vote.

Hayley. That's how my niece's name is spelled, so its just my first thought when spelling.

I would pronounce it Hay-lee but spell it Hailey.

DD is Hailey.

When she was about a year old, I wished I had spelled it Haley, but we were afraid people would pronounce it like halle berry

I am glad we spelled it Hailey now though

I would spell it Hailey. This use to be a top name when I was younger, I still love it.
