no measureable follies

Why can't anything EVER EVER EVER go smoothly for me.  On day 6 of Stims and no measurable follies (one is 10.5mm but they don't count it unless its >11) but US tech said she saw ~4-5 little guys on each side.  My nurse said that they like to see at least some at this point but said that I very well could have a bunch that are close to being measurable....I hate this waiting game.  it is so very hard not to get down or give up but enough is enough.  I will endure because I want a baby more than anything in the world.....and truth is....I will never give up on that dream...even if I have to do 15 IVF cycles and go totally broke...it will all be worth it.  Thanks for letting me vent....anyone else go through a cycle where they were a slow starter?  And....I'm on max doses of follistem and menipur and also 5 mg lupron.  Not much else we can do but wait at this point

Hopefully your follicles get their act together.

My only thought is why do they have you on lupron?  From what I've read, lupron can supress the ability of stims to stimulate follicle growth.  This is why after my poor response for IVF #1, I was switched to a conversion protocol.  I only took lupron until around my baseline and then switched to ganirelix, which is supposed to be better for poor responders.

im sorry ur not seeing the progress you'd hoped for but FX the lil follies will catch up and you see great numbers on your next check!

Maybe talk to your nurse or RE today or tomorrow, if possible, about whether or not it would make sense to add Human Growth Hormone to the mix. It's not inexpensive ($800-1000), but if your RE thinks it could help those follies grow and get high quality eggs, it'd be worth it. It's no silver bullet, and may not even be something your RE would recommend for you or for this situation. My RE thought I'd only get 7 eggs, max. We added HGH after day 6 of stims and I got 17 (14 mature). Quality seemed decent too. No BFP, but we'll see how this FET works out.

I was super slow my first IVF. They never changed my meds just monitored me very closely. I stimmed longer than they thought I would. I went today for my US and at day 6 (which I'm at too) they said they want to see them around 10mm. They told me the number can change a lot in just a few days. I'm going back Sunday for another US. Don't lose hope! I was right there with ya my first round and ended up with 10 at ER.

I'm a slow grower too and just had ER after maxing out my RE's limit of 12 days of stims. The whole time they kept telling me that they want them to grow slowly. FX that you'll start to see something bigger soon!
