I want to name my baby girl with the middle name June after dh grandmother but not sure on which first name I like best please help!

I didn't vote because I'm not really a fan of those names. If you want an "L" name I like Lillian/na, Lorelei, or Laura more (also Laurel gets a lot of love on this board but that's the name of my dads slutty ex wife so I can never get behind it).

I like Lana and Leilani...Leilani might have pronunciation trouble if you're not in Hawaii, though. I love Lena too.

I don't know how to pronounce the first 2. Lana June makes me think of Lorna doones - the cookie...

I don't love any of those first names.  I do like having a longer first name though to "flow" w June.  So I guess of the 3, Id go with Leilani.  I thought about Leilani for a long time as a middle name for my DD (who is due any day now!), but then after I heard all the Hawaiian naming superstitions, I abandoned it.

This cracks me up. I'm also a Laurel, and growing up I never heard the name on anyone else. I'm not sure how I feel about it getting so much love lately. I mean, it makes me feel warm and fuzzy that other people like my name, but is it going to start getting popular and trendy now? Anyway, I also like your suggestion of Lorelei. If it wasn't basically the same as my name, it would probably be on my list.

I love Leilani but would also assume you had some Hawaiian blood.

(also raised in NorCal, maybe that's why I don't understand the pronunciation problems)
