@mightybee, yes his full name is Ty. We talked for a while about all of the options we could go with to have "Ty for short", but we really liked it better as is. He doesn't seem at all like any of those names. He is such a Ty! Right now he mostly likes standing on his books and jumping off, haha. There is one fall themed touch and feel picture book with a fuzzy squirrel in it that he really loves.
@bellaxanthe my own family say he is his daddy's little clone, but I see some of myself in him. His eyes are the exact color as mine, and while he mostly has his dad's easygoing personality he has a major silly streak that is all me.
@melin_11 yes, her name is Mommy haha! We are still nursing so that is still the only magic way he will get sleepy, no lovies or pacis or anything like that.
@aylafsu88 he cracks me up. He loves wearing hats and all kinds of accessories. I expected him to wear the mustache for 5 seconds and hoped to snap a picture, but he wore it for hours and hours. I would forget he had it on until strangers or a store clerk would start laughing. We've always called him our little thrill seeker, but lately if there is a pillow or a pile of laundry (or mommy) laying on he ground will go up to it, throw his arms straight up, rise up on his tippy toes and then body slam full force onto it. It makes me a nervous wreck, he does it on the couch, the bed, it is pretty hilarious but I'm so worried he's going to hurt himself he has no fear whatsoever. He's teaching me to be more carefree little by little though. He's pretty awesome.
Thanks @emilypc! He has been a champ eater from day one, nursed with no issues, accepted a bottle with no issues, transitioned into solids easily, and still has a pretty balanced list of likes. Sleep, no. He is not a good sleeper. Haha. He has just had a language explosion in the past month and I am so in love with his sweet voice. It melts me every time. My favorite is the way he says "all done" so singsongy. Also, he will go around the house looking for things by calling their name "ball...ball...baaaalllll" so cute. He has just started loving thomas the train and he says "Dos" but I know exactly what he means
I know the book you're talking about, @OkieMama! That squirrel kinda creeps me out though. Who wants to pet a squirrel?
True story, I pet and fed a squirrel in college. (Anyone else read that as if the squirrel were in college? hahahaha) So, yeah, I guess he got that from me too. I certainly like it better than the "shiny" jack O lantern, wth? That's not a texture!
