Maternity clothes for newly pregnant MoMs

I thought I would put together a blog post about my favorite maternity purchases and the mistakes I made in buying stuff. 

I hope this is helpful! Any other experienced/pregnant MoMs have anything I should add, please let me know or add to the comments!!

I know some of the opinions are not universal, my best friend swears by maternity panty hose, and I thought they were the worst thing to ever happen to humans.

Great list! I would add, too, that there is absolutely no reason to spend a fortune on this. I got my entire maternity wardrobe (hopefully) at second hand stores, from craigslist and a few items from Target on clearance on a day they had free shipping and an additional 20% off. I think I have spent no more than about $300 total. My second hand stuff is all from Old Navy and Motherhood and looks barely worn. I'm excited to save my money for things for the nursery and to spoil the babies rather than clothes I will once in my lifetime.

Zazu - I know, I spent money on things I shouldn't have for sure! 

I did get a **huge** bin of hand me down clothes, but honestly I didn't love putting it on and didn't feel pretty wearing it. Instead I ended up getting a lot of stuff on sale, I didn't pay full price for more than a few items. 

I think the best advice I would give myself 7 months ago would be to buy things I need and not things because they are cheap - for example I don't wear 4 of my old navy tops and 3 items I got on sale at Gap, just because they were on sale.
