2nd Trimester

When will this morning sickness end?

So, I am currently 13 weeks and this stupid morning sickness still hasn't subsided. I can't even clean my house because I am constantly nauseous. I was prescribed Zofran by my OB, but it doesn't really help. When did you ladies finally find relief from morning sickness?

Re: When will this morning sickness end?

  • 16 weeks exactly! It didn't taper off slowly.. One day I was sick (as I had been for 10 weeks) and the next day I felt fine. After that, I got sick for maybe an hour in the morning once a week or so but that's gone now and I'm almost 25 weeks. I hope you start feeling better very soon!

  • I started having good days around week 14 or 15 and I think it had mostly subsided by week 16. I still get the occasional pukey feeling when I'm really hungry, but no more morning all day sickness!

  • Mine peaked at 13.5wks and since then I've been pretty much fine. It was like a pukey crescendo, then I felt a-ok. Now i just get queasy if I let myself get too hungry.

  • I think it was 16 weeks for me too.. I was also thinking as soon as 2nd trimester hit I would feel better...NOPE... Now I feel great!! Though... grilled chicken is tough to eat still....

  • I'm at 23 weeks and still have some bad bouts of morning sickness. It's been tapering off slightly (as in I throw up 3 days a week, instead of 5 or 6) since about 20 weeks. From about 12 weeks to 20 was definitely the worst of the worst, throwing up multiple times nearly everyday.

    Hopefully you feel better soon!

  • 22 weeks I stopped puking every day...now I'm 24 weeks and it's only about once a week
  • God, I wish I knew. I asked my aunt and she said she had it into her 8th month! Lord, I hope not.
  • I am 16 weeks 4 days and I just lost my lunch. From about 6-15 weeks I was throwing up once or twice a day... From 15-16 weeks I threw up more than 3 times a day... Saturday night was the last time I had thrown up, until about 20 minutes ago. It sucks. I hope it ends soon... It's making me want to tell DH this will be our one and ONLY child!!!!

  • I started feeling better around 13 1/2 weeks then it was completely gone during week 14, now at 15 weeks I'm getting just evening sickness instead of all-day sickness.  I asked my dr. today about anything I could take and she suggested Zyrtec (seems weird since that's an allergy med =s) but we'll find out I suppose!  I'd just like to suggest not chugging any liquids and eat slowly :]  That's been helpful to me thus far, and I'm sure you've heard this a dozen times but make sure you don't allow yourself to get hungry!  Hope you feel better :]
