The ultrasound didn't go well. I'm just trying to figure out whether I am going to go forward with the methotrexate or just skip forward to the D&C so I don't end up in limbo again for weeks. The doctor offered to run some additional tests although she said that she thought it was just another round of bad luck, given my healthy kids. I declined the tests. We're out of the baby game at this point so there's no reason for the testing. In my gut I think she's right and I have just run into some bad pregnancy luck.

Thank you all for the kind words and support. I still lurk and get very excited to see the new BFPs from everyone. I'm going to be quiet and just read/lurk for a while while I process things, and eventually make my introductions and post on Parenting-AL as well as continue to post on baby girl's BMB.

About Testing, skip it if you would rather not read it...

I've had one loss right before I got pregnant with LO. My friend has had several losses and after he third loss, she had some testing done and found out that they are both carriers of CF. 1 in 4 chances their child will have it. They have one healthy child together. Maybe testing will give you some answers when your ready to tire again.

It's definitely not CF - I was tested previously and am not a carrier. We both hand Counsyl testing too, so it's not any autosomal recessive things either. If it is anything other than "bad luck" it would take a great deal of testing to figure out.

We're not going to be trying again and our done with our two. This baby was an oops, although I was just getting used to the idea. But I'm very near 40, so I'm done and won't be trying in the future. If we reach a point where we feel like we want to add to the family, I'm going to do what my co-worker did and go though DCFS here in L.A.
