Christmas/holiday gifts for baby

I know there have been a couple of posts on this in the past, but now that the holidays are getting closer, I thought I would start a new thread. If you are buying holiday gifts for LO, what are you planning on getting and/or what have you already bought? (Bonus points if you share a link to the products! I need some more ideas.)

Re: Christmas/holiday gifts for baby

  • We will probably spend $100 or less on LO. I already have this Fisher Price puppy thing. I also want to get several books, especially some Dr. Seuss ones. I was thinking of getting a ring stacker and some blocks, but I am unsure of what brand to buy. Any recommendations?

This is what we have bought for Will. A dinosaur ball popper, a sit to stand thingy and the move and crawl ball. I'm pretty sure my parents  are getting him the Fisher price laugh and learn car. FIL will send $, so I'll use that for books. Just need to figure out stocking stuffers.

  • We already got a couple board book sets from Costco, and I think we're going to get her some cool wooden toys to put under the tree. DH's mom will go overboard and buy everything fisher price ever made.

I want to get a dollhouse kit and build it for her first Christmas, and then slowly decorate and furnish the rooms with her every Christmas thereafter. I think that would be a special tradition that we could share, plus some of that little furniture is expensive! DH thinks I should wait until she can play with it, but it want to start now. :)

I also want to get her a nice wagon, but I won't if I buy the dollhouse kit this year.

  • We are shopping from the closet and storage this year for the baby. He will get DS1's outgrown wool sleep sack, two exersaucers we bought at garage sales over the summer, and a walk behind toy we got at a garage sale. We just need to get him a book and socks for his stocking.

He's too little for the walk behind toy but DS1 will use it for awhile!

Yes, Barnes and Noble has B.Toys which are so cool!

And we also have a toy store in the mall that sells Melissa and Doug toys.

  • Probably some more books, and a new car seat. B has 8 aunts and uncles and 6 grandparents. I'm sure he will have plenty.

We have a lot of stuff already from DS.  I like Melissa & Doug, but in terms of really quality, I think Plan Toys and Haba are better.  Haba blocks are beautiful:
