Sharing the new long distance?

DH's family all lives out of town, specifically his mom/step dad and his father. His mom knows about our trying and infertility so i feel like I want it to be more than jsut a phone call going "I'm pregnant!" because of all that...

Anyone planning on or did something a little more fun without being too ridiculous?

I simply have a suggestion...i saw a family member make a little video with pictures of the stick and baby pictures of you and DH. add some music and email it to them, if they have email. or you could put it on a disc and mail it....

We took a photo of ourselves holding a sign that said "Baby on Board" and emailed it to our SIL and BIL. We called them and said "Open your email, we found a house we like that we want you to see" and then they opened the pic while we were on the phone. This was with DD #1.

You could also send flowers or balloons that say something about a baby?

People loved the onesies we sent out for Xmas- I bought white onesies and made an iron-on that was like those "Hello my name is..." stickers

and put Baby (last name) and due date

I'm a little late tot hsi post, but DH's parents live in HI, and we mailed them a tiny little box with baby booties. His mom FREAKED (in a good way). She got it right away.
