I just got everything ready for H in the morning. I laid out Allie's clothes, packed her bag and lunch box, and sort of set out breakfast. I walked into the living room and said "hey babe, all you have to do is toss the lunch box in Allie's bag, feed her, and make sure you brush her hair. You can carry her to school. I'm taking the day off." He looked like I just killed a puppy. Yes, mother effer I need a day off too. After the shock wore off, he said okay. I'll pick up breakfast on the way home. Trained him well.

Teach me your ways. I better start now. Actually H is great with her when he's home, but he still thinks it's okay to go make plans and not check with me. I normally wouldn't have cared, but we have a newborn and I need a break sometimes especially now that she's hit a fussy stage.

Last night when we were out at the ToT event with the boys, we got a lot of comments that said our boys were the cutest or had the best costumes. And I felt like I won as a parent. It's totally part if the reason why I make the effort to make the costume, for other parent's praise

@gogadgetgo. I don't usually care if she matches around the house but when we leave the house she has to look cute so people notice.
