Sad today (loss mentioned)

So with today being Halloween I really wanted to take Morgan out trick or treating.  I am so disappointed that it's raining and we can't take her out, but not because of the candy, or her costume or anything really....I'm sad because I never got to take my son out.  I missed out on so many firsts with him because he passed away when he was less than 2 months old from complications after surgery for HLHS.  I missed so much with him and now with Morgan every time she does something new I get sad about missing that with Brett. 

This is part of the reason I am going so overboard with her birthday, Brett never got one and I want to make hers spectacular!

I'm so sorry for your loss! It has got to be very hard missing all of those firsts with him. I don't blame you for going the extra mile for your baby girl. I would do the same!
