What's the laziest thing you've done?

We're all feeling the first-trimester exhaustion and I'd like to know that I'm not the only one who has been a complete waste of space lately.

I just put up my Halloween decorations. Major slacker over here. What's everyone else NOT been doing lately?

Re: What's the laziest thing you've done?

  • Cleaning, putting away clean laundry, cooking real food....it's not taking care of C or going to work so we have health insurance, I probably haven't done it.

    Married DH 7/30/11

    CSC arrived 5/7/12

    CHC arrived 6/2/14

  • We haven't done anything Halloween... and that includes buying DS a costume.

The cleaning - I need a clean house, but right now I just don't have the effort.

Haven't finished unpacking either - still have boxes and random stuff all over the place that needs to be put away. We moved at the start of the month.

Keeping up with friends - I just dont have the energy for social interactions. I want to eat and sleep and that is about it. Maybe spend some time snuggling my little guy.
  • I hear you on the cleaning as well. We have dark, hardwood floors that constantly have kitten paw prints and dog hair all over them. I just do not have the energy to clean them. The only household duties I've taken care of lately have been laundry and the dishes, but only because I have to.
  • I have managed to keep finances scrubs washed and the dishes done! That's it. He doesn't get that I'm freaking tired. He works long hours and I don't so I guess he thinks I should keep the house spotless! Screw that!!

  • Cooking has taken a huge hit. We've had a lot of dinners that involve eggs, or leftovers from weekend dinners out. I put a load in the washing machine yesterday, I haven't turned it on because I know I'll have to then fold and put it away.

I just came back from looking in the fridge and I'm trying to decide between baked chicken or...Yyou guessed it something with eggs.
  • I dusted the mantle on Sunday...and then perused the internet for professional cleaning services. Cleaning blows.

I do everything I need to get done/can get done between getting home and before I sit down. Once I am down, I'm done. My hubby laughs at me. If I need something, like water, I give big puppy dog eyes. Doesn't always work (usually doesn't) but I try.
  • My kitchen looks like a bomb went off in it. I did a little cleaning/putting away while I made dinner but that's about it. I got caught up on laundry on Saturday, folded and put everything away. Except for my stuff that goes on hangers, that's all draped over my footboard. There has been exactly no sex in at least 2 weeks.

I did take my kids to get their Halloween costumes today, but that got put off mostly because up until yesterday their room was trashed and they weren't going trick or treating.
  • I come home and want to go to bed. I'm in bed now 6:45pm so sad. I am up at 5 and have an hour commute and don't get home til between 5-7.

I need to clean. Laundry is done but that is it. Need to vaccuum. Darn dog cat hair all over. Just too tired.

Oh forget about sex. Just thinking about it makes me tired and sick. So not in the mood. Poor hubby.

  • Okay so this one is the best, DH was none too pleased... The TP roll was empty. So I got a new roll and instead of removing the old roll and replacing it, I just sat the new roll on top of the old roll after using it. Doesn't get much lazier than that.

  • Ok tmi but today I shaved my legs for the first time in like a week and a half and I swear my legs feel lighter. Haha ughhhhh. I don't even think DH has noticed because I've been rocking the sweatpants and have no desire to have sex at all. :-t
  • Halloween decorations?  What are those?

I have about three loads of laundry that need to be folded and a fourth that needs to be put away.  We have just been pulling the clean clothes out to wear.

Other cleaning ... well, yeah, that's not really getting done either.

  • Cleaning?  What's that?  I basically come home from work and plop on the couch.  After Jeopardy, I shower and go to bed.  I guess it's a nice sneak peek as to what my life will be like when I'm eighty.

  • I've been ok with keeping the house clean, but barely.  Once I sit down after dinner I hardly move.  Poor H has been wanting to have sex, but I'm exhausted, so we haven't in a few weeks (2? 3? idk).  Also, it's 8:30 and I'm seriously considering going to bed.

  • My whole house looks like bomb went off. I'm doing month end stuff at my company and my husband is the manager at a retail store which holiday season has already kicked off

  • Not cooking, I'm the worst to pop some popcorn shrimp or chicken nuggets in the oven for my daughter and then find something starchy for myself. I have no energy past 10 am and about half the time (as long as I don't have anywhere to go) I don't shower. I feel like utter crap!

  • My son is sick and stayed home from school. So me and the kids slept in. Then they both climbed into my bed. Suddenly I realize its Tuesday and my daughter has pre-school and well it was too late to get everyone ready. So she did not go today :( mom fail!
  • I skipped work three times last week.  I have a really long  commute and I just couldn't bear the thought of it.  At least 2 of those three days I didn't even leave the house.  I watched all the episodes of Master Chef Junior.

Also, I make my husband make me PB&J sandwiches even when I'm sitting 5 feet from the kitchen.
  • I haven't done anything lately unless you count lying in bed with my kitty and computer.  I cooked one meal last week- otherwise it's been cereal or whatever my husband makes.  I think the laziest thing is probably texting my husband who was downstairs watching tv or cleaning the kitchen to ask him to bring me something upstairs in bed.  He gets husband of the year award.  I suck right now.  And no sex, duh.  I can barely stand up without barfing.  Too bad too, because my boobs look amazeballs right now.  :)

  • The highlight of my weekend was running errands with hubby... for two hours, of which I sat in the car the whole time and complained till I was back safe and sound at home in my jammies. I was a lazy bum this weekend, and it was GLORIOUS!

  • I have managed to keep finances scrubs washed and the dishes done! That's it. He doesn't get that I'm freaking tired. He works long hours and I don't so I guess he thinks I should keep the house spotless! Screw that!!

Lol oh husbands! Scrubs seem to be the only thing I keep washed and taken care of.. My husband can put away his own clothes. And I've stayed on top of our finances too. I also keep up with my hygiene lol points for that right?? :)
Hygiene as in showering yes, as in shaving not so much until yesterday and only bc I had an appointment. I only shaved bc fiancé works with my OB and I didn't want her to feel ba for him! Lol his clothes only make it to a basket!
I'm ready for all thi laziness to be over and I have made a deal with myself: I have today but tomorrow I have to get up early enough to get my queasiness over before class and after work I will be working out! I am going to make myself feel better

  • I'm letting my daughter watch way too much TV so that I can move a little more slowly in the morning and avoid puking.

I also begged my husband to clean out old leftovers from the fridge. It shouldn't take long, but I can't handle the smell. Lazy? Or practical? I'm to tired to decide.

  • I come home, I might cook dinner or I might not. I'm in PJs by 7 pm at the latest (one day as early as 6) and I read or watch TV until I fall asleep on the couch.

I'm not doing anything that isn't mission-critical: Eat, shower, go to work. Done.

  • The exhaustion is hitting HARD today. I am still early in this pregnancy but this head cold is making it so much harder to get anything done. @mamileon I totally have an unwashed load of laundry sitting in my washer right now, too. LOL!

    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

  • Read the bump all day at work while not working on any of the many things I need to accomplish. I hope my employment survives this pregnancy!

  • Yesterday after 10 hours of sleep I took a forty-five-minute nap... Then a two-hour nap... Then fell asleep for the night at 8... I think I've reached peak laziness. (I did manage to get some dishes and cooking done though.)
  • Yesterday (my day off) I woke up at 8:30, came down stairs and flopped on the couch after letting the dogs outside to go potty. Had a bowl of cereal at about 10, then started a load of laundry. After getting a load in the dryer I took a nap from 12 to 3:30...when my DH called from work. Lol he totally called me out on my afternoon nap too. I managed to get up and throw a second load of laundry in the dryer. By 8pm I was crawling up stairs and ready to call it a night. I seriously can't get over how exhausted I am.

....did I mention I never got out of my PJ's yesterday? Yeah, it was that kind of a day.

  • The hardest thing for me is making dinner. I feel the worst in the evening and I am just plain tired. My poor hubby (who is a workout addict) has been starving since i just keep making quick, simple, light meals. The poor guy needs real food.
  • There is a mound... when i say mound i mean at least 3 feet high... of clean clothes on my bedroom floor..... Folding and hanging sounds so awful right now

  • As of 2 hours ago I hadnt brushed my hair in a week, my teeth in 2 days, about 8 loads of laundry (now 6 loads) not done, bathroom hadnt been cleaned in like 2 weeks, dishes weren't done in like a week and we were running low so I got paper plates and cups so I didn't have to do them anymore, I haven't made anything other then grilled cheese "candy sanwitches" (pb&j's) and mac n cheese for my son in the past week, babies toys were all over the living room and still currently are. My house was falling a apart and my husband doesn't dare bitch. So don't feel bad at all!

I completely agree. Prior to the BFP my BF and i were fitness addicts, healthy hearty meals at least 2 times a day... now hes lucky if I make a grilled cheese.... I'm hoping my hatred for food goes away soon cause i feel bad not making dinner...

  • I only started cooking real meals on Sunday. Had soup, sandwiches or some form of breakfast food for the weeks before that - DH had a lot of pizza ha. Also slacked on the cleaning - oh well!

  • Let's see I think it's a shorter list about what I have done then haven't lol!! I haven't done more then one rack of dishes a day since Friday my living room is a hazardous zone with my sons cars and trucks everywhere and don't even get me started on the laundry situation. Hubby's lucky I'm able to take care of our son and cook lol!! With my depression I find it hard to do things to begin with, add on pregnancy and a very active toddler and I'm beat.
  • I have been laying on the floor in the playroom while DS is playing.  Sometimes I wish I could lock us both in there so I can sleep while I know he's safe.  Or I close my eyes on the couch while he sits next to me and watches Mickey.

  • I was just looking for a post like this. I cleaned the kitchen, do I get a gold star? It feels pointless to do anything else because my toddler just drags her junk everywhere. Also, I have really long hair and because of that only wash it 3x a week. Yeah, I 'm pretty sure it's been a week, maybe longer.
  • Today was trash day. I usually bring the trash can in if I get home before DH. Didn't feel like it today. My 85 year old neighbor came out to say hi and I jokingly said how I didn't feel like bringing in the trash can bc I'm so tired and we both laughed. I walked inside and what do you know...my 85 year old neighbor, a lady, was bringing in my trash can. Needless to say I felt like the laziest piece of shit ever.

  • I have not blown my hair dry in weeks. It is a frizzy disaster but I could care less. The idea of holding my arms up for 10 minutes, makes me want to take a nap. I do still cook because I like it. I have also only been working about a 6 hour day (9:30-3:30 about sums it up).
