Last week was pure "getting through the day" type living so I have some catching up and planning to do for the coming week.  How bout you all?

I just broke down and packed up the pack-n-play that was in our room cuz it was just collecting crap that we didn't feel like putting away

1. Menu planning fort he week.  GOing to take a bunch of packets out of the freezer and plan around that

2. Scrub bathroom - needs a freshening up

3. Going to a toy study at leapfrog on Tuesday (Fun)

4. wanna make a crock pot balsamic pork recipie this week maybe

5. Finish up her Halloween costume if we are gonna do it at all

6, I have some paperwork that needs to get done ASAP maybe during tomorrows nap

My goal for the week is to continue my "motivation" for keeping the house looking more put together and clean. The laundry's 100% done and as are the dishes! (This is not usual haha)

When it's clean FI is in a better mood, I'm in a better mood, and when FMIL randomly comes over she won't act like I'm the worst mother in the world... So hopefully that'll happen!

House is about 1/2 done. Bday outfit is almost done. Groceries are bought. Xmas gifts are getting there.
I even started going through my dad's house with my sister.

@credtcat7 In my head, with all of your to-do lists and motivation, I picture you drinking like 10 cups of coffee a day and running around Jessie Spano style

With working full time and taking care of a baby that still wakes up at night to eat, I'm lucky if I have the time or energy to pick up the laundry off of the floor. But I applaud you for your motivation. Cheers!

@credcat7 Haha! Fortunately, I was able to restrain myself. I work with a person who is deeply narcissistic to the extent that he genuinely feels he doesn't have to come into work or show up at meetings. We are all specialists here, with some of us doing a mix of lab and computational work and some people just doing computational work. Each one of us has an area of focus that is utterly unique, along with a few projects that overlap. This kid has maybe 2 years of study in an area that our boss openly admits to not be a specialist in. Now I have about 10 years of work in an area that only my boss understands - I mean, worldwide, my boss might be the only person who cares about this topic. The same could be said for the other people here. My point - there is nothing really all that special about being a specialist.

For whatever reason my boss's humility and the importance of experimental results this kid is working with have really gone to the kid's head. He frequently blows off presentations he is supposed to make. He very rarely comes to large joint meetings between us and other groups. At one point, after a week of blowing off a presentation he was supposed to complete, he texted my boss 30 minutes into a meeting where he was supposed to present results and told him to make up an excuse for his absence. He was very nearly fired. Despite his come to jesus moment with my boss later that week, he is still here and still behaving the same way. This last infraction was sitting me down to tell me I needed to "change your personality". My advice was/is as follows a) unless someone appointed you truth speaker, step down b) you can either love me or leave me alone c) you are in a very, very small and competitive field. When you are on the job market people will ask me what I think of you. I suggest you discontinue this line of conversation.

He has stepped down for now. Maybe he knew I was aiming to kick him in the teeth?
