Infertility

**jensneb**

Hi-I saw your ques re: hysteroscopy. It as an outpatient procedure for me but I was fully sedated,I remember nothing. Recovery was a breeze. The hospital's policy was that I had to be on bcps the 3 weeks before the surgery so I barely even had bleeding afterwards.

My clinic told me I could not cycle with them without having this done. Apparently the success rates drop a lot with the presence of a polyp and the m/c rate drops too. (I still had a m/c though :( Anyway the way it was explained to me was for implantation to occur and stick the polyp should not be there.

The way I understand it from everyones answers to my post is that  the hysteroscopy took care of the interior of thr uterus and the lap looks at the exterior and the surrounding organs.

How are you doing otherwise? I saw you and dh had talk this week....any updates?

  • Thanks!  I'm doing ok. Enjoying a non-hormonal month off meds.  We're going to Colorado for a few days tomorrow.  We're going to do one more try on Follistim + IUI when I get AF and if that doesn't work takea  break to look for a house.
