What's your take on Makena vs Coumpound?

I did a regular compound last pregnancy and paid OOP.
I was just approved for Makena 17P. Any thoughts?

I took Makena and I lasted till 40w. My husband was the one that gave me my shots, the nurse showed him. Good luck

I just finished Makena and I am 36wk 3days. I had a nurse come to my house every week..   If you are approved for Mekena with no out of pocket cost i would use that one. I am sure both would work just fine. Most of us ladies use Makena...

They are literally both the same exact formula, the office I go to has done the research.  I went with the compound because I have a high deductible insurance plan and would be paying out of pocket. For ten shots it would cost me $7000.00 for the Mekena and only $200.00 for the compound.  The reason why the price is so jacked up is because of the drug company and insurance companies taking advantage.  Compound progesterone has been out there long before Mekena, Mekena is just a 'brand' name.

Ya I need to call the Dr tomorrow about it. I also need to call the insurance and make sure I have bo oop. Ugh what a pain. With DD2 I paid 105 a month for the shots but this was before the FDA got involved.
    More paperwork
