My dd stopped napping completely at around age 4 or 5. But, just like my son is currently doing, she would nap some days and not others. I think my little guy needs a nap every day but he doesn't always agree with me. On the non-nap days though he usually falls asleep around 6:30 and sleeps until 6:30/7:00 am which is heaven.
Pole has been going on for a long time. I thought everyone knew it was a thing. Now I'm self-conscious because you all thought I was just stupid.
Well, poles were broken for a long time. Yes, I know a few souls had the magic touch to make the poles around here work and get them up. But a lot of us just couldn't get poles to work for a long time.
-My son was born in April 2012. He pretty much rules.

I voted SS because I wanted to see the results. DD is 18 mo and it seems like by the time she is two she will no longer nap. She is working her way towards not napping already! so not ready!
I see some signs of her dropping them. Skipping a nap does work in our favor like @justaphase said but DD is super cranky by 4 or 5 without one so I don't think she's quite ready for no naps.
Mommy demands naps. We keep normal hours most days, 8am-10/11pm, with a 1-2 hour nap mid day. Mommy and Camryn also know Disney Jr comes on at 8, so we get a bit of a snooze some mornings, until someone demands toast, or the unborn jumps on mommy's bladder since it's been more than 5 seconds since the last trip to the bathroom.
Edit: Oh right, Camryn turned 3 August 26th. She keeps us pretty busy in the waking hours, so I don't see a nap missing anytime soon.
My daughter will only nap for us now--she has to be in her crib to nap. My MIL and she goes to a part time in home and won't nap there. She will rests at both places now, but doesn't nap.
Friday night she is exhausted which means she wants to go to bed by 6pm!
I don't know what "SS" stands for in the context of these polls. And I'm too lazy to google it.
Jerry stopped napping maybe around 3ish. I don't really remember exactly when he stopped sleeping in the middle of the day. I know that I still had him in his room for an hour after lunch every day until he went to kindergarten, even after he stopped napping.
John is a tic over 2.5 years old and he's fine with no naps. I on the other hand can't handle no naps, so I try to make him nap. Some days it happens and some days it doesn't.
Re: Nap Pole
SS. My kid still takes a nap 5 days a week, but he refuses to most of the time on the weekend when he is at home.
