Re: TP Tuesday

  • My body.. I was up until 4 am running to the bathroom every 30 minutes starting at 10 pm.. Finally at 3:30 I threw up everything I ate yesterday and felt 1000 times better! Poor DH had to get up at 5 am for work so he got about 2 hours of asleep between all the comotion..

BUT! I read that those symtoms, expecially being suddenly onset like that can mean labor is coming.. Idk if it's true or not but with every yawn at work I keep reminding myself of that lol.

  • Loading the player...
  • to our garbage can that tipped over during the night and when I went to pick it up it splattered mud all over the front of my shirt and I had to go back in the house to change.

everything is just annoying me now

January siggy challenge: winter weather fails

  • I would like to (lightly) TP my friend.  She was having a yard sale early August, and was getting rid of all of her baby clothes.  I ask if she has 0-6 month girl clothes for winter, she says yes.  I ask if she'll mail them to me if I pay for shipping, she says no problem.  Two days after the yard sale, she says she has a box for me.  I finally followed up two weeks ago (on the 5th), and she promises me that she'll get the box in the mail on the 7th or 8th.  It's now the 22nd, and still no clothes.  I know life gets busy, but you live 2 blocks from the post office, can you PLEASE make your way down there and mail me the box so I can wash and sort the clothes?!?  The alpha-personality in me is coming out and starting to go crazy.

TP to my coworker.  You've been in this business for about 20 years longer than I have, please do not waste my morning by making me hold your hand and walking you step-by-step through simple processes which we do all the time!  I swear, there is not enough coffee to justify working with some people when you are 8 months pregnant.....
  • TP to my freaking dogs who both started howling at nothing at 3:30 this morning!!! I'm having enough trouble sleeping

Married to DH since 4/2008, mommy to three beautiful boys 9/09, 10/11, 11/13
  • TP to my OB - my previous 2 kids were both born at 42 weeks. This morning at my appointment she does my cervical check and says "looks like another 42 weeker". Seriously lady!

  • TP to my head cold! WTF, I'm 37.5 weeks pregnant and you come at me with this nonsense! I need to be able to breathe through my nose before this kid comes!

TP to DH who just informed me he is flying out of state to bid a job on Sunday/Monday. This is after the doctor says he expects me to deliver in 1-2 weeks. Awesome timing, DH.

  • TP to this cold that has turned into a sinus infection. I feel icky already this late in the game, no need to make it worse. Seriously, it's keeping me in a perpetual bad mood, which I don't enjoy.

TP to the influx of randoms and trolls.  We don't know you.  You have not been on this carnival ride for the last 8 months.  We don't care about your doctor appointments, if you are dilated, what gifts you plan on passing out to everyone you know, push presents are the most ridiculous-don't ask for suggestions.  And all the other ridiculous and just plain stupid posts that I haven't covered. We don't care!  And the White Knights!  How could I forget about the White Knights?  Just stop it.  You are not going to change the board.

  • another one - because I'm feeling very TP-y today, especially to people around me!

TP another coworker.  Let's use common sense, if you want to have a private phone conversation, the best place to do it is???  Yes, in the middle of the break room during lunch!  You can give me the death look while I use the microwave all you want, I really don't care!  There are probably 10 empty rooms you could walk to in 30 seconds or less, but this is the only room with the fridge and microwave.

I love the people who choose the bathroom to chat and look all pissy when you walk in to go!

  • TP to my bedroom door.  It moved last night when I got up to go to the bathroom and I am now sporting a really pretty bruise on my leg.

I feel boring today...everyone is leaving me alone because they still think I have germs, so I'm actually getting stuff done.

  • TP my Brother and SIL. They live in the same town, I am close with my brother. She was due this Thursday. I got a group text this morning with a picture of my new nephew this morning... a group text??

Never heard she was going into labor, that he was born, nothing. Just a picture on a group text. This is also all my Mom got.

I'm really hurt that I he wouldn't text, or call me or my parents personally to let us know anything. This is something a casual friend does when they have a baby.

I don't know his weight, when he was born, if everything went smoothly, nothing but a name and a picture. grrr

I know this was my SIL's doing too. She sent an email a couple weeks ago about how she didn't want any visitors. My Brother needs to grow some balls and just tell us, not send an email...

Ain't that the truth! I've determined I just need to be left alone the rest of this pregnancy. Sunday I was soooo pissy, I talked to one of our new residents like he was about 3 years old. But, in my defense, he asked a VERY stupid question, followed up by a series of more stupid questions. Seriously dude, you're a doctor. This column that says "urine output"? Yeah, that's how much they've had over the last 24 hours. You want a total of that plus something else? It's called a calculator. My coworkers were just laughing at me. DH brought me chocolate though :)

You're lucky yours was someone under you.  Mine was someone who is superior, who has tried to get me in trouble before because he didn't like my answers (even though I was right, and my actual boss was on my side).

I told him off a bit this morning, but hoping I did it in a "professional" enough manner so that I didn't actually cross that line.....
  • TP to my pelvis..... It hurts SOOO bad!!!!! and TP to the laundry that needs to be done

  • My second TP goes out to my Dad.  It's a gentle one, and probably only because I want to TP everyone lately.  I called him last night to let him know our plan for when the baby comes.  Both sets of parents live 3 hours away.  We live less than 5 minutes from the hospital I will be delivering at.  We said that we will call them once I'm at the hospital and admitted--no need for a false alarm for them to start the trip.  Then I let him know that I don't really want visitors while I'm in labor because that is just what I am most comfortable with and that they can stay at our house (plenty of room) and then come visit once the baby is born and we've had a little bonding time.  This is assuming this works with their schedule.  My Dad proceeded to tell me how his girlfriend's daughter had visitors and laughed at me when I said I didn't want any.  My call Dad, not yours.  We could have gone with our original plan of not calling anyone until after she was born!

Actually, he's technically "above" me, in the grand scheme of things. He's a doctor, I'm a nurse. Thankfully, he'd just look like an idiot to try and report me, and I have an awesome boss who would back me all the way. But he could easily make my life miserable.
    gotcha - TPs all around!

ugh - my parents are a 2-day drive away, so they keep telling me I need to tell them as soon as I go into labor.  I think we might get "lost in the commotion of everything" and not call them until after she's born!  :-\"

  • TP to Mother Nature . . . It's October and it's snowing (I live in the Midwest and we rarely get snow before Thanksgiving) . . . Go home Mother Nature you're drunk.
I would LOVE for it to snow, but we rarely get any. I'm sure it's much different when you live in it for seasons at a time. Hell, we're lucky if it's even cold on Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Ahhh, there's nothing like waking up to Christmas morning with it 80 degrees.

  • TP to the ladies who decided they had the right to park their big, honking SUVs in the middle of the lane in the gym car park.

Those aren't spaces for a reason -- because NO ONE ELSE CAN GET OUT WHEN YOU DO THAT.

What the hell do you need an SUV for in South London, anyway? Ass.

  • TP to the mouse/mice in my house. Showed up after we had the baby shower two weeks ago. Random poop all over. I cleaned the house like crazy a week ago only to find more so then I cleaned like a maniac. Moved couches and tables and spread peppermint oil at the bottom if the walls. (Saw online that the smell is too strong for them so they go away from it) so far so good.

Also TP DH for thinking just moving the couches for me was good enough. And then bitching about how I want the car cleaned out and to attempt putting the car seat in since I'm 38 weeks.

And last but but not least TP to ppl who are shocked I am not in maternity leave yet. I have unpaid maternity leave. So I can't afford possibly 3 weeks of not working when baby is not here.

  • TP my blood pressure :( triggered alarm on blood pressure monitor this morning due to diastolic numbers ranging 105-115 so now LO and I have additional doctor visits to make sure he is all good. I guess I should be happy to make it to 36 weeks before we tried to blow up doctor office equipment.

  • TP to our apartment maintenance guy.  This year our landlord decided it was an insurance risk to have us take our AC units in and out ourselves, so now the maintenance guy has to do it for us.  It's cold, and we'd really like it dealt with before the baby gets here.

So I called, and he said he would come by yesterday morning and that the only time he was able to come was a really early hour.  So I spent all that night waking up constantly because I was anticipating the alarm, then getting up three hours earlier than usual because I didn't want him showing up while we were still in bed...

And he never shows!  No call, no nothing!  So now I have to call again, set up another appointment, and he'll probably want it early again, and ARGH.

Do not mess with the pregnant lady's sleep - just don't.

  • TP to my left boob.  You can stop leaking any time now!!  I had one bout of leaking around 32 weeks and nothing since.  Now it's 7 or 8 times/day-- and only lefty.  It's driving me BSC but I keep lying (well, really just exaggerating) to myself and saying it's a sign that labor is coming because my body is producing colostrum/hormones and making it happen.

  • TP to the Pepco people who showed up unannounced to trim our tree in our front yard yesterday at the butt crack of dawn.  We put in a request over a month ago to have the tree trimmed because the branches were interfering with the power lines that run from our house to the street.  These a*holes show up at an ungodly hour wielding chain saws and asking me to move my car out of the driveway so they could get to work. PJs, coke bottle glasses, bed head and bump half exposed, I did while mumbling obscenities under my breath.

DH gets home and realizes (because I can't be bothered to give a crap)...they didn't even trim the correct branches and one of the wires is about to snap due to the weight of the damn tree limb! UGH...

Ugh!! Pepco is the WORST EVER!!!!
  • @kjensele sorry you're having a crappy day. Sending peaceful thoughts to relax you and lower LO's heart rate so you can go eat! Flip baby!
  • TP to the guy who checked my brakes last week and didn't tighten the lug nuts on my tires properly causing them to come loose on my 80 mile round trip to my doctors appt. They came so loose that I lost one and it caused a lot of damage to my wheel bearing and rim.
When I pulled into the parking lot the mechanic came running out to me to inform me that I almost lost my wheel. I felt sick to my stomach and I'm sure they felt bad too seeing that I'm 9 months pregnant.
So they fixed everything for no charge to me and ordered a new rim to replace the damaged one. Which is great customer service but I'm still in disbelieve that my wheel was THAT close to coming off.
    That was long. Sorry.
  • TP to hip and low back pain! They are keeping me up most nights with tossing and turning and then random Charlie horses that make me want to cry! I had a Charlie horse in my low back this morning, coupled with a contraction....Holy Crap that hurt! Only a few more weeks left, I just hope baby girl doesn't decide to wait it out and hang in there for extra time.

  • TP to my hips and stomach! My his are killing me and my appetite is ridiculously small. I am just so uncomfortable and I hate that I have to go to a wedding on Saturday. Everyone keeps talking about how much they're going to dance and have a good time. I usually have a few drinks at weddings to lighten my mood and nerves. Damn it damn it damn it
  • I've got a couple, as I'm sure a lot of us do since we are 8+ months pregnant and everything pisses us off!
    1. TP to the damn pile of dishes that I sitting in my sink (and on the stove). I have been so tired lately that I fell asleep this afternoon during a thunderstorm and I didn't wake up until just now. It's 5:45 where I am now and my SO still isn't home from work, so I slept through EVERYTHING! (At least I got sleep though! :))

    2. TP to my MIL. Literally every word that comes out of her mouth makes me pissed off and mad at her. She is on all sorts of government assistance, refuses to get a job, has a bf that is a POS and has two young children at home (that she pawns off on everyone else, including the school). She thinks she knows everything, and I'm really tired of her. Not that money matters with family, I truely love them all the same, but she makes it a point to say things like "I can't do this because I don't have money" or she compares her and her ex husband to my parents and how much money they make...I just want to tell her that they worked for what they have, they went to college and got degrees to get the good jobs, they don't buy a bunch of shit they don't need and they invested well. My IL's live in a double wide and have multiple trucks and lawn mowers in their yard and don't have any sort of retirement set up and they are almost 50. It's their fault, not mine and I'm tired of them complaining about their situation that could be fixed if she would just get a damn job.
  • TP to my neighbors (again pretty sure I did last week too). Now they are pet sitting a dog for 3 months. An aggressive dog that lunged at mine. And they decide that 12:30 am is the perfect time to play fetch under my window. I'm so tired of them I'm looking to break my lease and find a new place.

  • TP to my friend who has stopped acting like a friend and more like an overbearing parent. Just because you're a nurse does NOT mean that you're entitled to hearing every fucking detail of MY pregnancy. Especially when you have been less than kind these last 8 months. Your $0.02 = Shit to me.
