White spots in frozen breast milk

I looked back a few pages and didn't see anything about this, forgive me if its been asked a bunch!

I just looked through my freezer stash to see how many oz I had saved up. We are planning on leaving dd for the first time overnight in 2 weeks and wanted to make sure I had enough to last. I noticed that pretty much all my bags of milk have these white spots all over them. I have never noticed it before. Has anybody ever experienced this?  I'm nervous that all the milk has gone bad and now we wont be able to go out for our anniversary.

Thanks!

  • Milk separates when frozen. If it's bad, it will smell bad when you defrost. Try one bag if you're worried but it sounds normal.
