Congestion

My 7 week old is congested but no runny nose!! We have a humidifier but it wasn't working the last few nights but we got a new one yesterday! Is there anything you can do for the congestion though?? He doesn't seemed bothered by it just the occasional sneeze.

Nose drops and the bulb help a lot. Also having the baby sleep on an incline.

I use the bulb... DS hates it but it works really well!

my six week old seems continually congested. pediatrician doesn't seem overly concerned as she was cs so didn't get squeezed out. baby sleeps on an incline, we use the snot sucker, saline up the nose, etc but to no avail.

My baby is on oxygen and has a lot of congestion from that. We tried the bulb, but it didn't work very well. We ended up getting the nosefrida (amazing!) and between that and the saline, we get a lot of gunk out.

I've been using the saline drops and the bulb but am not getting any gunk out!?!?

How many drops is everyone using for the saline solution? I notice if I use one or two drops I don't get any gunk out. However if I use three or four drops I get a lot out. On the flip side when using 3-4 my baby acts like he's drowning bec he's so clogged up. I hate doing that to him. Suggestions?

Yeah this morning he acted like he was drowning when I did two!?? Any suggestions!

I don't use too much, but it's kind of hard to tell, I just give it a little squeeze up there lol

My pediatrician said sounding congested in normal in a newborn. If he or she doesn't seem concerned, I wouldn't worry about it. You can always ask just to be safe.
