  • I am going through ARC for the second time.  No issues.  It's a little cheaper than going through my clinic (who would expect PIF at first appointment) assuming I use the entire package.  Interest rate is reasonable (lower than most credit cards).  Don't know how much more I can help with; I give them my information, bank approves, I sign papers, payment is sent to RE.

  • I am using WinFertility and it is a savings. For example, IVF with ICSI and unlimited monitoring at my RE's  office is $12,600 OOP. My medication when estimated with freedom fertility pharmacy  and a few others came up to approximately $5,330. (Can you believe one cartridge of Follistim 300IU is almost $500 @-) ).  WinFertility offered me a bundled package of the IVF with ICSI, unlimited monitoring and all my medications and supplies for just a little over $13,500. That is a savings of  over $4400. A downside is that if your RE doesn't estimate your meds well and you need more medication that is not included  or estimated in the bundle you will have to pay for any additional medication out of pocket. Another bad side is that for my RE and their partnership with WinFertility, it does not cover cryopreservation  and storage fees if I were to have blasts to freeze, but neither does the almost $18,000 listed above. So, that could be another OOP cost. However, for someone who is completely OOP it is still a deal!

To qualify for Winfertility, ARC or any of these other programs, your RE must have a partnership with them. Hope this information helps

  • Thanks so much, my RE accepts both of them. I think I'm torn between using Arc and hoping to qualify for the refund policy (anyone have a quote for that, they won't give me a ballpark until we fill out the application) OR being optimistic, accepting that I won't need a refund, and going with Win because it's going to be cheaper.

I asked ARC about the 'refund', but the person I spoke to didn't really give me any information.  She said that alone would cost "thousands".  I figured I'd try my luck.

ETA:  It was as if she didn't want to tell me how much, so I don't know how it works.

  • Yeah, the lady was weird about it with me, too. She said she couldn't even give me a ballpark estimate because they do it based off of your medical/health history that you submit in the refund packet. I think, with PCOS, the likelihood of me actually qualifying isn't very high. After looking at the application, I think their "refund policy" is really aimed towards a  22 year old who is perfectly healthy but just feels like having IVF done for the fun of it.
