Read my original post- I want 6 hours if possible, not 12. If I can gain one thing from a book that's positive, I'll take it. It's just the name of a book.
"I want 6 hours"
This sounds extremely selfish and unintelligent.
By saying I WANT 6 hours of sleep is not bring selfish. Any parent would be lying if they said they didn't want 6 hours. I would never ignore my daughters hunger cues and there is no way to FORCE her to sleep longer than she's able to. But if I can help her be in a routine, I don't see the problem. My daughter has happily slept for 6 hours on her own, but its not consistent. I'm sorry you think I'm a selfish person. I would never force my daughter to do something she's not ready for.
