Dude, pie crust no way. Anyone who makes that from scratch is a baking god.
Pie crusts is the only thing I like to make from scratch. I'm making all the pies today for Thanksgiving.
How do you get it not to taste like cardboard 50% of the time?
If you use a food processor, you can use all butter and still get a super flaky crust, plus it's harder to overwork the dough, because it comes together so fast.
I have a brownie baking pan the comes with the grid so every brownie has a crispy chewy edge. I've never made them from scratch, now I have to try it. I do make a freaking killer chocolate, white chocolate chip, chocolate chunk cookie that's to die for.

You want to know the trick for anything that requires you to cut in butter? Throw the butter in the freezer, grate it using a cheese grater, and then throw back in the fridge. So much easier and things turn out great!

This is the best thing ever for making biscuits.
I wish I'd known this yesterday! We made buttermilk biscuits but they turned out badly. Well, I mean, they tasted good and were fluffy but the batter didn't come together quite right and was too mushy to cut biscuits out of. We ended up glopping spoonfuls of batter onto a baking sheet and baking them that way. They were fug. I ate, like, four of them.

Hades says something like that, I think.
// I love you too. //
Still, tho, brownies.
// I love you too. //
// I love you too. //

Deal.
