    Holy shit, that's supposed to be a GIRL'S name? I was thinking not bad, a mouthful but I love Emmanuel. But a GIRL? I mean, Phoenix is weird but not terrible on a girl, but Emmanuel...yeah, it's terrible on a girl.

    Yeah, I really thought this as a boy's name through and through.

     

    All they had to do was tack an -a or -le on the end of Emmanuel to make it Emmanuela or Emmanuelle, which are legit girl names.  Bah.

    The resurrection theme is REALLY heavy-handed in here. Phoenix AND Emmanuel? Oy. I have no words for this being a girl's name. Yikes.
