I am definitely going on a diet starting the first of the year. I have pcos so my ob says I need to loose 50 pounds. So here's to 2009....weight loss and our BFP!
Im right there with you, after our BFN on IUI#7 we are taking a break until april and my doc wants me to lose about 50-60 lbs. I started cutting back on everything this weekend and by next week ready to hit the gym and serious diet. Good luck. I hope 2009 is our year!
I would just call it ? Weight Loss Check In? and maybe do it like 3 times a week but def let us know on this post so we know when to check in(esp if your going to do it on a certain day). GL and here's to getting healthy!
I would love to check in as I am in the same boat but hoping to lose 20. Please write back and check in.
Weight loss is almost always good but is there a specific reason for 8 lbs exactly? What do you think will be your biggest challenge? (Snickers doesn't count as an answer to that question...)
Life is either a daring adventure or it is nothing at all.

Thanks, 8 lbs b/c that's a lb a week until the beginning of March, we're cycling in March if all goes well. An average of a 1 lb a week is typically all I can loose and I don't want to push for more and be dissapointed if it doesn't happen. If I loose more than that I'll be thrilled!

Keys to New Year's Resolution Success
Approximately 90 percent of Americans make at least one New Year's resolution
each year. Unfortunately, no matter how well-intentioned they are, most people
fail to keep their resolutions. Here are a few ways you can make sure your
resolution is a success:
Set obtainable goals. It's reasonable to aim to lose 10 percent of
your starting weight within six months. The goal of the South Beach Diet is to
help you learn how to make healthy eating choices that you can carry with you
for life. Rather than focusing on losing as much weight as you can as quickly as
you can, focus on following the plan correctly, for this could be the last diet
you'll ever need.
Set mini-goals and reward yourself often. With the South Beach Diet,
you may choose to set mini-goals. Once you reach your mini-goal, you can reward
yourself and move on to the next one. Avoid using food as a reward. Instead,
treat yourself to an outfit that flatters your new figure or a DVD of a favorite
movie.
Surround yourself with supportive people. You'll be more likely to
succeed if you have friends or family giving you encouragement and praise. If
you can't find someone to help you locally, meet others like you through Beach
Buddies and on the Message Boards.
Re: Weight loss Buddy?
Do we want to do a check in that way we can cheer eachother on and anyone who's interested can join in. If so do you want to do it weekly or daily?
Here's to 2009!
I'll post m/w/f after work, hopefully this'll help keep us on track!
What a great name!

Would you mind if I did one for the daytime girls??
