I had my second a/s today since they needed a better look at the organs (due to baby moving around a lot at the 1st one). Well, I have a wiggle worm. He/she could not hold still long enough to get good pictures. Then half way through I tell the tech I feel sick and like I'm going to puke. She goes to get a bucket(like not even 2 feet from us) but nope. It just came out all pitch perfect style. And got everywhere. So they give me a gown to wear (since my clothes, and hair are covered) and they rinse out my clothing. They also have to clean the bed and machine. Well, I'm sitting on a chair and start to feel dizzy and H had to help hold me up on the chair so I wouldn't fall and pass out. Once everything was changed, I had to lie on my left side to finish the scan. The baby is great, a nice strong heart beat, but they did think they saw a shadow on the heart. They sent my scans to a neonatal specialist and we will see form there.
Thanks ladies. I'm hoping it is nothing too. I told my mom and she said I had a shadow and was born with a small heart murmur. So, if it is something, I hope it's that since I have someone to lean on.
As for getting sick..if you haven't had your a/s and think you may get sick..bring a bucket and keep it in your hands.
I don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but I think this post should be renamed. Your experience doesn't sound fun, but there's no way it was the worst anatomy scan ever. That would involve finding out your baby won't survive. Unfortunately I've had that experience.

Oh, that sucks! Both the puking everywhere, & the fact that now you have to worry until your next appt. I'm sorry. I hope it was just a bad image, & you get good news.
I almost had the same thing happened to me during my a/s. About 15 min into the scan I started to feel light headed, nauseous and hot. I kept telling myself I was fine but then I almost passed out. I had to finish the scan on my side which killed my hips!!
Thank you ladies. and to the poster who said I should change the name...to me this is a bad one. It's my second scan, I got incredibly sick and they are sending the scan to a specialist. I know that's not losing your baby, but it is worrisome and super scary.
I hope the shadow is nothing. Man , your experience sounds horrible. I'm so sorry you had to go through that. Sending happy positive thoughts your way!
Re: Worse A/S ever in my book.
Fingers crossed that shadow is nothing at all
