My new jacket arrived

I posted last week about needing a new winter jacket and I ordered one:

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Faded-Glory-Maternity-Hooded-Puffer-Coat/24498089

I know that @MarBee1214 was interested in a review so here goes...The jacket came today and at first I loved it! It's nice, and thick, but not heavy. It has suuuper soft fleece inside and it's insanely warm. It also has a nice zipper and buttons to keep any cold air out. And it has a detachable hood. The overall sizing is true to size (I bought the same size jacket that I have been buying all of my maternity clothes in)

BUT unfortunately I won't be keeping it :(  For someone who is short (5'3") I have weirdly long arms (my mom calls them monkey arms) and the sleeves of this jacket don't cover my wrists...they stick out about 2 inches.

I'm back on the hunt for a jacket that does fit....but wanted to review this other one because it's a great jacket for a great price, it just didn't work out for me.

Re: My new jacket arrived

  • @cpm1223 -- I, too, have monkey arms.
  • Boo! I'm sorry it didn't work out. That's a fantastic deal and it's great to hear the quality is there. Would ordering a size up possibly fix the arm length for you or would you be swimming in it then?

  • Thanks for the review! I am the opposite of monkey arms. This might work for me :D

  • Ah yes - the monkey arm problem. Right there with you! I'm not entirely sure why, but it seems the more you spend on a top/coat the longer the arms. Gah!

  • Glad I'm not the only ones with the "monkey arm" problem! :)

@jldubb0626 it's possible that the next size up would work...maybe I'll return this one and then re-order the next size up and see. It really didn't take too long to ship to me.
