filling in baby book

I started filling out the baby book and I'm super annoyed I can't remember things that happened just a few month ago. Like when I felt the first kick. I literally wrote June/July? LOL and when I heard his heartbeat. I don't even know! It was April sometime? ugh

And these things--- I don't know why I am so concerned with what I write in for these....

*The clothes in style were....(denim and flannel LOL I do live in Williamsburg)

*Some hit songs were.... (according to billboard the #1 song right now is "Wrecking ball" by Miley ugh)

*Some famous movie stars were....(according to Forbes the highest paid actors are Robert Downey Jr, Channing Tatum, Hugh Jackman, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lawrence, Kristen Stewart)

*Some famous athletes were.....(i dunno. Arod? Jeter? Tiger woods?)

I'm drawing a blank on the "correct" things to write.

Honestly I probably won't touch it there either. I see my mom filling it out for me when she comes to visit. Hahaha...whatevs.

The baby book I have for DD1 was super open-ended. Almost 3 years later, it is totally empty. My mom didn't have a baby book for me and things are ok.

So funny! I was filling out the baby book on Saturday and was thinking the same thing! I did put the heart beat down because I remember it was at our first US back in April and I had it on my calendar. I have no idea about kicking though, it just seemed like a gradual thing that went from "oh is that the baby?" to "holy cow girl, calm down in there!" I'm definitely taking the book with us to the hospital so that if I have a moment I can write everything down. I just have a feeling it's going to go by so fast that I won't be able to remember all the details!

PS: I freaking LOVE Williamsburg!! We used to live in VA Beach 2 years ago and that was our fav place to go. Whenever I visit the HR area, we always make a pit stop there.

I tend to over think things like this.  That is why DS's baby book is lacking.  I feel really bad about it.  Determined to do better this time around.  However, I got a Baby Calendar and not a traditional baby book, but it seems to have the same stuff in it.

We started ours. I may have made some stuff up. This child will never know that she kicked me on July 10. Instead of July 25. And by that time I will be so fat down this white lie spiral that I will believe everything I wrote! Have at it!!

Haha.  Just go with your favorites right now.    As for forgetting stuff, that is exactly why I recommend keeping it handy the first year so you can write down things as they happen.  And fill out each month's description as you go also because you will forget what they do each month as well.

@redzee I'm super sentimental and I dig things like this. My mom brought me my baby book last week. It seriously goes until death. I filled out my marriage stuff the other day but the teenage years are barely filled in. I filled some out when I was around 13. I wish I was more on top of it looking back LOL total nerd.

@finnybooboi I'm in Wiliamsburg Brooklyn. Totalllyyyyy different. Not all colonial and stuff. We have trust fund baby hipster artists walking around instead LOL

I left the top songs/actors/etc out in hopes I'll have better answers on the day (or two) after she's born.  miley will not be anywhere in my daughter's book.
