I feel like an old person... need help. (Toddler in siggy)

Ok. I am going to admit something here. I don't know how to upload a gif. I feel like those old people who refer to computers as "those big box machines."

I've realized I have a serious problem. I need help. Please help me make you all smile and laugh with hilarious gif stories. That is all.

do you see the little icon that looks like a picture frame? Well you can copy and paste the url of an image you want to use there. It should insert it into the post.

If not, you can always upload the image directly from your computer. Right below the text box there's a link that says "attach a file" click on that and you'll be asked to pick the file. Upload and voila!

Right click the image and click "copy image location". Then in the text box click on the little image of a picture and paste the image location. That should do it.

I have nothing to add here other than to say that I absolutely LOVE your siggy pic! To put it lightly, I have a *thing* for Twilight and melted when I saw this beautiful man!

Easiest thing is to google them.  You would type something like clapping gif into google and do an image search.  Under the search bar, after you search you can select "Search Tools" and under "Type" select "Animated"

When you see a gif you like, I simply right click on the gif, copy it, and paste it into the post.

Don't feel bad!  It wasn't until this week that I realized I didn't need to upload every single one to tinypic.com to get it to post in a thread.  I couldn't figure out how ladies were posting gif-off's so quickly!  But I learned that if you right click on the gif (which I get by just googling something general - try: dance party gif, for example) and request it to open in it's own tab, then you can copy and paste that URL into this little guy: 
....and voila!  there you have it!  Gif away!

FYI...

Sometimes when you copy and paste a gif from google into a reply window, a huge space gets automatically added above the gif and it may not be obvious how to delete.

To fix the problem, Go into the < > show source button, then look for HTML code that is similar to this:

img style="margin-top: 102px;

Change to  Margin-top: 1px

Then hit the < > show source button, to return to the regular text box.

To avoid this on in the future, instead of using copy and paste... right click on the image, select copy image location, then go back to your post and select the Insert Image button, paste in the URL.  This avoids the margin code.

Sorry I didn't reply! I've been busy at work all morning and am only just now getting onto TB. Copy and paste works 99% of the time, though, so you should be good to go.

Plus, my spare computer time has been spent googling hot men in sweaters, so.... yeah.
