I've been watching a lot of goofy comedy to take a break from the grief (It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia, American Dad, Family Guy, etc). American Dad had its season premiere where the nerdy son and his friend clone some hot girls for dates for their prom, but only to raise them from babies and then watch them die at the end. The subject matter caught me off gaurd, but I found that I was okay with it and even laughed in places where I would have cried my eyes out.
Then this morning, the funeral home called to let me know that my son's death certificate had arrived. I choked up for a moment, then felt some peace. *I know that the waterworks will return once I arrive at the funeral home*...other than that, I think I felt some progression from the grief through this.
